The training program, titled ” The Basic Operation, Maintenance, and Control of Gas Power Plants”, has concluded as a part of the company’s social responsibility program, which strives to assist and equip young engineers for the labor market.
The training program consists of theoretical and practical aspects. The theoretical aspect spanned five consecutive days and covered the fundamental operation of gas power plants in terms of turbine components, their combust chambers, control system, generator operations, and others.
The final day included a visit to the North Benghazi station site to educate the engineers about the GT13E1 gas turbines and their components, the station’s control room and its associated systems, and the station’s primary step-up transformer.
The hands-on training will commence at the Sarir Gas Power plant site for the study of the Westinghouse-type turbine.
