Maintenance of Medium-Voltage Power Plants
Medium-voltage network, is considered an essential and main part of the general electricity network in Libya, and because of the importance of this part, Our Company (GESCO) saw the need to contribute to addressing the problems facing the medium-voltage network, and in cooperation with the General Electricity Company (GECOL), assistance was provided in the maintenance of some damaged stations in some areas of Libya.
The results of the maintenance were good, and therefore Our Company obtained the first assignment for the maintenance of medium voltage stations under No. (5-9-9944) for the year 2018. The results of these maintenance were excellent, which encouraged the General Electricity Company to launch a public tender for local and foreign companies for the maintenance of medium voltage stations. GESCO had the honor of winning these bids because of its experience in the field of maintenance and the installation of substations (high and medium voltage), and the General Electricity Company has issued assignment orders for the year 2020 under No. (5-19-4315) & (5-19-4316), according to which GESCO performs the necessary maintenance for medium voltage stations.
After the success achieved in this project, the General Electricity Company decided to increase the number of targeted stations, and in the middle of 2021, Contract No. (16-2021) was concluded between the General Electricity Company (GECOL), and the Global Electricity Services Company (GESCO).
Our Company began implementing the terms of this contract under the direct supervision and follow-up of the General Administration of Medium Voltage Networks of the General Electricity Company, where more than 8 sites were equipped throughout Libya to be able to maintain the largest number of stations in perfect time and quality. These sites are distributed as follows:
